3 Trends for Luxury Bathroom Countertops in 2012
Take the New Year as a new opportunity to finally get the master bath of your dreams. As the American home will continue to trend towards fewer, larger rooms, the bathroom will be one of the first rooms to gain more space and design attention. Here are a few of the design trends for luxury bathrooms in 2012.
- Personal spa amenities: whether it’s a whirlpool tub, a massage table, an expansive walk in shower or a lounge area, homeowners are springing for the luxuries that will turn their bathroom into a custom-designed spa.
- Natural materials: The sophisticated aesthetic and unparalleled durability of materials like slate, granite, bamboo and other natural surfaces are making them the first choice when it comes to bathroom design.
- Openness: Luxury bathrooms are losing thresholds and separate rooms and doors for single wall dividers that create an airy, wide-open appeal.
Tune in later this week for our next blog post that will discuss more of the luxury bathroom trends for 2012.
