Why do you want my phone number?

Why do you want my phone number?

February 13, 2014

When you visit Marble & Granite, Inc., it’s our practice to ask you for some contact information. But, rest assured, this is simply for safety. Many of our customers want to know why we ask for this information in the first place. We respect your concern for your privacy, so allow us to clarify…

When you visit one of our two showrooms, the first thing we do is request that you share your name, telephone number, and email address. Never fear. We have no intention of calling you during dinner to hit you with the hard sell. Nor will we be blasting you details about any awesome clearance event. We won’t even pass your number along to a telemarketer.

Renovated Westwood Showroom

Our recently renovated showroom in Westwood, MA

We need to make sure that you understand and acknowledge that you’re entering an active warehouse. Safety is our major concern. So, we ask for your name and a telephone number so that we have the necessary details in case of an unforeseen emergency.

Plus, after you’ve selected the slabs you want to use for your project, we may need to keep you in the loop. If your fabricator does not authorize the shipping of your materials within the required seven days, we’ll need to make you aware of the situation. We keep your phone number and email address on file for that reason too.

We respect and share your concern about privacy and protecting your personal information is a priority. Rest assured that we do not rent, sell, or exchange phone numbers and email addresses that are given to us. We collect this data strictly to keep you informed, and your details remain confidential. If you have additional questions, please call us at 877-39-STONE.
