Stone Adds Sophistication to the Man Cave

Stone Adds Sophistication to the Man Cave

April 21, 2015

Ahhhh…the Man Cave! A space solely designated for the man of the house, where he enjoys his masculine pass-times. It’s the one space in the home where a man can break the rules of décor and perhaps decorum. A space where the man of the house can do as he pleases, right?

Okay, so this idea may be a little outdated. We know that, when it comes to home decorating, stereotypical gender roles have morphed—or even swapped. Today, men have just as much say in the home’s overall style and women want to hang out in a home bar or media room just as much as a man. But, “Man Cave” is fun to say and connotes a space where one (male or female) can relax, let down their hair, and maybe avoid everyday responsibilities for just a little while.

These spaces should be just as welcoming as any other area of the home. And adding natural stone in the form of walls, bar tops, shelving, flooring, fireplace surrounds, and more can help reflect the owner’s unique personality. Here are a few eye-catching examples of how natural stone helps enhance the atmosphere of the manliest man caves:
