Neolith Fireplace Showcases the Beauty and Versatility of this Dependable Material

Ultra-slim Neolith is one of the most flexible and versatile surfacing materials available today. It can be used for both residential and commercial projects and is suitable for everything from building facades and large format flooring to kitchen countertops and backsplashes. Another wonderful thing about Neolith is that it comes in a variety of colors and textures, including those that are a nearly exact match for natural stone. To show off the versatility and beauty of this unique surface, we created a sleek combination fireplace/tv wall in our Westwood, MA showroom.

A mezzanine stairwell in the showroom created the perfect opportunity to showcase Neolith with a slim profile fireplace. Although it’s a narrow area, there was plenty of space to frame out the fireplace. And since Neolith is so thin (available in ¼” or ½” thickness) it was the ideal product to cover the flat surface.

We selected Neolith in the Alexandra color, which very closely resembles marble. Neolith offers the technology and high-definition imaging to imitate virtually any stone. And since its far lighter and easier to transport than actual marble or granite, this means you can infuse the look of natural stone into virtually any project, on virtually any surface.

Neolith is an extremely reliable building material. It may be ultra-lightweight, but it’s incredibly strong. In addition to being heat and UV resistant, Neolith won’t scratch or stain. This makes Neolith an ideal choice for high-traffic areas or any space where you want the look of natural stone but don’t necessarily want the maintenance. Best of all, it never needs to be sealed. Neolith is very low maintenance,  easily cleaned with a soft cloth, mild soap and water.

Since it comes in large slabs, Neolith means fewer grout lines. It’s also a non-porous substance, so it’s considered to be a hygienic surface great for anything from countertops to restroom walls.
